CR Final FRCR (Part A) Examination Committee

The Committee is responsible for ensuring, on behalf of the Fellowship Examination Board, that the 2A component of the Final FRCR examination provides an appropriate assessment of the application of knowledge as defined in the core radiology syllabus sections of the Specialty Training Curriculum for Clinical Radiology.

The Committee coordinates the sourcing, moderation and classification of questions for the examination, selects questions for each paper and is responsible for standard setting to generate a pass mark.
The Final FRCR (Part A) Examination Committee reports to the Fellowship Examination Board through the Examination Committee Chair, who is currently Dr Mark Blakeman. The Committee is comprised of up to 16 post-FRCR radiologists. All members are expected to have experience and an interest in clinical radiology training and assessment. New examiners are appointed by Clinical Radiology Fellowship Examination Board, taking into account the recommendation of the Final FRCR (Part A) Examination Committee.
