Background

Formed in 1994, by the combination of two awards endowed by Reginald G Reid and Graham-Hodgson, this scholarship is awarded to a clinical radiologists to learn a new technique, develop a field of interest or to further a research project.

Nature

The Scholarship is intended to assist with expenses incurred in visiting a centre, either in the United Kingdom or abroad, in order to study a new technique, develop a field of interest related to the applicant's own work, or further a research project. Projects should be of at least three weeks' duration. At the end of the Scholarship, the successful applicant will be required to submit a report to The Royal College of Radiologists.

Funding

Up to £1,500. Due note will be taken of other sources of funding obtained by applicants.

Eligibility

The Scholarship is open to clinical radiologist Fellows holding appointments of any grade in the United Kingdom.

Candidates must submit their application form, along with a CV and letter(s) of support. Applications are made in open competition and the Scholarship is awarded by the Specialty Training Board based on the recommendation of an assessment panel.
