Consensus statements for gynaecological cancer

A steering group of gynaecological cancer experts has been recruited to lead on the development of consensus statements aimed at reducing variation in gynaecological cancer practice.

Final statements expected late 2023/early 2024.

Consensus statements for bladder cancer

All UK bladder radiotherapy leads were invited to a bladder consensus meeting, held in Summer 2022, to discuss and vote on statements aimed at improving standards of bladder cancer care.

The final statements are expected to be published by Spring 2023
Recommendations for radiotherapy treatment contouring for vulva cancer.

This guidance aims to standardise vulva cancer contouring in the UK.

Due to be published Spring 2023.

Principles of re-irradiation

There is an increasing utilisation of a second course of radiotherapy to treat recurrent or relapsed disease. The RCR has identified this as an emerging important area of clinical activity and research which would benefit from a top-level guidance document to guide practitioners.

Due to be published by Autumn 2023.

Combined chemo/radiotherapy consent forms

The RCR is developing its first national site-specific combined chemo-radiotherapy consent forms. The plan is to begin with forms for bladder, head and neck, rectal and anal cancer.
